The Last Hurrah
The Graffs moved away. Last week we had a last hurrah together before they start their military life of moving around. So we went on a bike ride and this was my biking pal:
Adorable.
Here are the fellas.
Perris kept making fun of me for my pants. Little stinker. (they are skinny jeans and I just put my white tube socks on with my tennis shoes and was ready to go! So what!??)
'Twas a beautiful January day! Provo River flowing nicely...
Wade is getting a good stare in of Lynette so he can remember her when he sees her next.
Over Christmas we read papers we wrote from 2003 (after my first 2 semesters of college). These were for a time capsule to be opened in 2008, 5 years later. We didn't get to them until this year so a total of 8 years had gone by instead. On the sheets it asked various things like "What will you be doing in 5 years? Where will you be living?" I wrote: "I don't know. Hopefully not Provo still..."
Well, 18 year old Ali, sorry about that! You were back in Provo in 2008 and still here in 2012. After I shut the door from our goodbyes to Lynette and Stephan, I said to Perris, "Well, that's it. I am officially the last person left here from my college days. They have all moved on." That's a good thing! But I'm not bitter, it's just interesting to see everyone go forward from their college town, and still be here 5 years AFTER I graduated. But Perris is my man and I fully support his education which is ALMOST done!! I am just excited to move on with our next step, too! I think it's coming soon. right?
Well, I turned 27 yesterday and life is rich and full. Very grateful. Couldn't ask for more.
And I leave you with silly Wade and his crying face and why we have to stuff a blanket between the mattress and crib bars.

Oh my gosh Al, that last picture is hilarious!! What fun these children bring into our lives!! I love it (half of the time anyway, Haha:). Love you lots!
