The other day Perris made a confession. He said, "Sometimes I sing "I've got a dream, I've got a dream, I just want to see the floating lanterns gleam"(and he really sang that line when he said this sentence. High pitched, but softly, just like Rapunzel) in my head. Like when I'm riding my bike to school." HAHA I just thought that was really cute. His little tender, child-like heart shining through the song he sings in his head. Love it.
We were with friends the other day and a friend was telling a story of Perris snowmobiling. He started out by saying, "Well basically, you know how Perris does everything 150%??" I loved that...what a perfect way to describe Perry. The story is hilarious, too. He was just going all out snowmobiling-which he had never done before, and after a run he walks up to his friends and says, "Guys, I just totally did a jump and hit my helmet hard onto the front of the snowmobile, my face hurts so bad." He takes of his helmet and his left nostril is swollen out to the middle of his cheek! I heard this story before I ever saw a picture and thought it was an exaggeration, but SERIOUSLY it is not. It is hilarious.
Another funny story. I went to the MTC saturday to be a pretend investigator to the missionaries. They, of course, don't know who you are and I was supposed to choose who I was and stick to my story throughout. So beforehand I decided I would be a single mother (Wade was with me), my husband left me, blah blah...my name is Paola. So I rotated around to different groups, but when I was with the FIRST group they started asking me questions and as soon as I said "My husband left me" I BURST into tears. I mean REAL tears! I was a little emotional that morning, but no crying! In my mind I am SO embarrassed, saying "Ali WHY ARE YOU CRYING?????" But really the sweet missionaries had no idea I was just playing a part and I had 4 hermanas in front of me and they are like mortified and all clamor about to find me a tissue...I'm pretty sure they also had no idea exactly what I said since I was speaking spanish. They knew I said something about my husband...eventually they figured it out. They were so sweet. I giggled at myself all the way home, I couldn't believe it. I was so good at pretending, I convinced myself!!!!!! I even had a hard time STOPPING crying to continue answering questions! Hahaa oh I was embarrassed, but without any need to be. I think I even convinced the teacher who was watching my group.
Wade is in looooooove with food. He is really learning to open that mouth up WIDE to get some of that rice cereal goodness in his tummy. He also loved peas, which we tried last night. The first bite was a bit like "Uhhhh did you mean to put that in my mouth????" But after that he was giggling, and opening up wide loooving it. He also loves trying banana, sucking on carrots and apples...and I just made some pear/banana food for him to try later.
We are excited for Thanksgiving next week. Lots of happy life to be celebrating.
