Dr Ding and Fiona Ying

The real motherhood urgency stress entered my life Saturday as we got to our friends home in Salt Lake.  I uncover wade's carrier and there he is COVERED in hives.  Suddenly, no one and no thing was important except getting my child help.  We were supposed to be going to a wedding...no thought off that!  After a few phone calls we found the University Family Center, and we were to see Nurse Practitioner "Ying" was all I caught of the name from the appointment scheduler.

 So off we drove to Sugarhouse to find the clinic.  We saw the sign and turned into the parking lot, but there was some confusion as we searched for the right door.  One said "CHINESE HEALTH CLINIC" in big red letters.  Below in small letters confirmed it was also the location for Univ. Family Clinic.  so we enter and the name Dr Ding is everywhere!  Testimonials, Chinese herbal remedy signs...You bet I read eveery one of those testimonials.  And whaddayaknow...a Happy Treatment Coupon is also offered!

Someday I seriously would like  to go to Dr Ding when I have a problem.  I am intrigued.

But Fiona Ying helped us that day.  While explaining everything was normal with Wade except he was a little underweight, she gave me some very sound advice to stay away from candy bars and ice cream to fatten a child up.  I couldn't help but giggle.  I have no temptation to fatten my baby up with those things :)

And Wade is fine.  Hives cleared up within 2 or 3 hours.  Weird.
