off balance

Reading my pregnancy book it says “When the baby settles deep into your pelvis, you may feel clumsy and off balance. That’s because your center of gravity has shifted as the baby changed its position.”

Well if I haven’t experienced that! Last Sunday I was wearing 2 inch wedges—pretty safe, nothing high-heelish but I guess more than I’ve worn lately. I am standing, not moving, in the middle of the kitchen and my left ankle gave out and my foot fell off the heel of the shoe onto the outside of my foot and I seriously go FLYING 3-4 feet forward and catch myself with my arms on top of the dining table. That one kinda hurt, but it was still funny. Took my shoes off right away.

Friday we are leaving to go to the MTC and Perris goes out the door first and is holding open the front screen door for me whilst looking out into the yard. My left foot steps out first and again, my ankle gives out and I fall to the side of my foot again, but this time it was mid-step of my right leg. SO straight to the ground goes my left knee. Perris turns around like “what the heck did I just miss?” And I could not stop laughing. I was just DOWN on the ground. Out. Dang I really gotta be careful with my step! Belly has been saved through all the falls…no worries!
