the glow

My baby weighs 2 pounds. I am in love with him. It's like I'm in a new stage where I'm very aware of him and all he does, and I am feeling REALLY EXCITED. Bring on the baby.

I saw my mission president wife this weekend and she told me I’m “glowing.” Well I started to think about that, and I must express the truth about that statement. After she told me that I looked at pictures taken the same day (Joanna’s wedding), and thought “Alright. I’ve got the full pregnancy face” (unless your one of the face-stays-the-same-pregnant women.) I feel fine about it, but think about it people. Who else has a “glowy” face? Santa Claus. Why? Because he’s got some chub in those cheeks! And they glow when he smiles with a twinkle in his eye, and go rosy because he’s chubby. I can relate to those qualities. Thus the glow is true, but I think the chubby cheeks have a lot to do with it! Let us embrace the full cheek-ness, (as I have always been a cheeker even pre-pregnancy!) and love it...Along with the other full cheek-ness that I darn well never had.

Joanna J (my mission companion in Argentina) got married yesterday in Salt Lake. We loved seeing she and Nate wed. So wonderful.
While waiting for them to emerge from the templo, we walked around and explored. The doors are the coolest thing ever. Check it out! Then we pretended to be statues. Perris is a scary gargoyle, but I'm a beautiful pregnant woman.
