4:30am

I have been laughing about this all morning...

4:15ish AM I got up to use the restroom. I came back and snuggled up to all my pillows surrounding me and was drifting back into sleep. My dearest husband was facing the opposite direction, towards his bedstand. I am slowly drifting, drifting, drifting more deeply into sleep when a YELL and a HUGE CRASH come after a shake and spasm come from the oposing side of the bed. I gasp like it's my last breath of oxygen and jump an inch off the bed. I say "what are you DOING?" and act mad. (I am laughing so hard writing this right now) Perris says "sorry" and there is silence. Then he starts to giggle. I am still trying to act mad, and turn over to go back to sleep. He continues to giggle. Finally I just imagine him karate chopping some bad guy in his dream and start laughing SO HARD. So there at 4:30 in the AM we are laughing hysterically and I'm telling him how he should not be karate chopping!! He does the weirdest things while sleeping...(like picking me up and dragging me over his body to "his" side of the bed. He woke up and said "what are you doing over there?" I laughed and remembered that he had moved me in the night! What does this man dream about??)

It was pretty funny, to say the least, and as I was trying not to laugh outloud in my meeting this morning thinking about it I texted him telling him so. His reply was "It was so sweet!!" At least he got the bad guy! (I mean, the lamp, the pictures, and everything crashed to the ground! He killed that bady guy.)

*Post Script Edit:
Oh friends. You must know that a mere 2 or 3 nights later, I awoke to P leaning up on his elbow and saying "hey, hey, hey" trying to get my attention. He takes my hand as I sleeply say "what??"...He starts to say (although his words were really quite illogical and undiscernable) something like "if you hold on to him, he'll hold on to you." I thought for 1 second and then said "You are asleep!!" and pushed him away to go back to sleep.
Told him in the morning and he had NO clue. This man and his sleep! It is hilarious!

  3. Andy is the same about dreams, minus the REAL, as opposed to dreamed up, physical action. They are usually hilarious...always a super hero saving the day and killing the bad guys. It's fun to hear he's kinda normal ;)
