Creepin on the Heber

My Christmas present from PK was a scenic ride on the Heber Valley Railroad on New Year's Eve.

It was awesome!! We had such a fun time. We knew the people around us were out of town when they started yelling and snapping pictures when they saw deer prancing by :)
It was really funny!
We had a nice time talking to them-they were from Georgia and Indiana.

We saw 8 bald eagles far away in our binoculars! They migrate here in the winter from Canada.
On our ride back (we were now riding backwards) I spotted an eagle perched in the tree 10 ft from our window!
I immediately yelled (the other people had to see!!!) "There is a bald eagle right there!" repeated 2 times.

It was pretty funny, I reminded myself of my Mother, who often gets excited to strangers...something I would often be a little embarrassed by when I was a teenager but honestly have always thought was very funny...however, now, I think it's great!
I turned to Perris and couldn't stop giggling about how much i reminded myself of my Mother at that moment. It was my tone, excitement, and mannerisms that were her to a "T".
I giggled about it all the way home.
Tickled my little heart.

The view was beautiful wasn't it?

The picture of my head being chopped off and P's hat flopping around was on the way home down the canyon. P spotted what seemed like a golden eagle perched in a tree, so we pulled over immediately and RAN through a foot and 1/2 of snow to get closer. By the time I ran about 15 yards it flew away and I was OUT of breath!
So I snapped this picture as we ran back and I think it's hilarious.
Perris is beyond THRILLED and laughing.
I look like i'm in serious pain, don't I?
Hahaha.
Oh the adventure.

Happy 2011, we are ready for lots of new transitions and adventures this year!
