slow reflexes

It's thursday night at 10:21pm. Perris has 2 finals left. Poor boy is so tired. This week is full of festivities, (and dentist appointments), thus his delay in getting these done earlier.
Example of how tired:
last night before we were going to bed I suggested we play the hand slap game. I started as the "slapper" and it was no challenge at all. 1, 2, 3 times I smacked his hands so hard he barely moved. The extreme exhaustion had weakened his reflex skills, and he just giggled and giggled instead of moving his hands.
On the other hand, he is a slower kind of person. Example A: We were driving last night and I offered him a jolly rancher.
"Per, do you want a jolly rancher?"
(Pause and count to 5 slowly. Seriously, do it. That is how long it took)
"Yes."
I just started laughing because we OFTEN have this conversation about the long (long to me, anyway!) pauses before responding. In response to the laughter, he begins to defend himself and explain his thought process. This is how he explains:
"Option 1, No because it could be bad for my teeth (remember dentist appointments have been happening, thus the worry).
Option 2, Yes because if I don't I may crave it later AND it just tastes good."

I laugh and sincerely ask, "You really thought all that?" And he did. Hilarious. Makes me laugh so much, even though sometimes i think why are you so slow to answer? Haha oh goodness...

Tonight we went to the stake leadership Christmas party at UVU. Twas excellent! We even got entertained by the UVU Institute choir. MAN, they were good. We saw them last year when a buddy of ours was in it...and it was awesome. This year was no disappointment and I felt like I was in heaven with choirs of angels-seriously. It cheered my soul (not that my soul was un-cheery, it was just JOYFUL).
More beautiful music to come tomorrow when we go to Salt Lake to hear David Archuleta and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! (I know my little baby loves this music. And btw, I think I have started to feel him starting yesterday. Love it!)
