prayers
most people write down funny things their children say in prayers. well, i do not yet have this opportunity, but it mattereth not, for I have Perris. last night in our prayer perris says, "...please bless that we can be able to..." I just started laughing! He didn't even know why and when i repeated what he said he didn't see much wrong with it, even though it's like the most grammatically incorrect sentence ever (like this gigantic sentence i just wrote!).
he just keeps saying "everyone says that." please.

ReplyDeleteAl, I hate to say this, but it DOES sound perfectly normal when I read it...maybe I'm grammatically incorrect too :)
ReplyDeleteok "can" and "be able to" are the SAME meaning. So he needs to say ONE or the OTHER "please bless that we can....." or please bless that we will be able to...." combining both is incorrect and is just repeating the same thing twice. sometimes we are all really bad english speakers. :)
