Merry Christmas!
Hello dear loved ones! It has been a great year for the P.R. Kusilek family. We celebrated 1 great year of marriage in June, and are grateful for that blessing. We kept up on adventures with camping, travelling, moving, and enjoying friends and family. We moved right around the corner in July, as the owners of our previous apartment had a son coming out to live. We about died of heat in the summer with no air, but have enjoyed more space that’s for sure! We also enjoyed many a trip, including visiting the Escalante area in southern Utah, Yellowstone, and making a trek out to Wisconsin/Minnesota. The best news of the year came in mid-September when we found are expecting child #1! Baby boy Kusilek will make his debut in May 2011. We are thrilled, and feel very blessed for the chance to have a family.
Perris this year worked hard and was accepted into the Information Systems program at the Marriott School of Business at BYU. He started with an intense load this fall semester and is applying for the master’s program next spring. He has learned a lot, and his group of 3 other guys has become a part of the family as they have had to do several late-nights at our house together. He continues to serve as a counselor to the young single adult ward at church and has done a great job there. He is very excited about having a little son running around soon! (By the way, his geo prizm is still in great condition J)
Ali has grown much working with her troubled teenage girls and is looking forward to focusing on and learning more about the male species come next year! She has read many books this year and is enjoying the hobby of stitching. She is excited for the new life stage of motherhood and hopes to stay home with baby next year.
We have been blessed by our Heavenly Father in all ways, and look to Him to guide us. We know He leads our life and are grateful for His wisdom and love. We love this time of year to honor and celebrate the birth and life of our Savior Jesus Christ. We are grateful for His words and teachings in the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon and know it testifies of His ultimate sacrifice for us. We know that without Him, there is no light or goodness in the world. As it says in Mosiah in the Book of Mormon, “He is the light and the life of the world; yea, a light that is endless,
We are also grateful for the guidance of a living prophet who is the Lord’s mouthpiece on earth today. What a great time we live in!
We are thankful for our friends and family, even if we are not able to see you or visit with you often through the year. We think of you and hope for your happiness for the year to come!
Love, Ali & Perris
