  1. I love reading other people's birthing stories - my mom thinks that's weird - and both mine are on the blog. I've really been into getting informed this pregnancy (good thing since it's the 3rd go-round). I watched The Business of Being Born and am reading the semi-accompanying book Your Best Birth. With Cami, my water broke, I wasn't contracting, I was put on pitocin, and got an epidural. With Adam, I was at a 5 before I ever went into labor, they broke my water at the hospital, and I got an epidural right before I started pushing. This time, I'd really like to go drug-free. I'm not anti hospital and LOVE my ob/gyn, but have become a firm believer that our bodies really know what they're doing on their own. My own labor was exponentially easier than my labor on pitocin. I hope I never have to see that stuff again.

  2. Hi, you don't know me. I am a friend of Perris's. Anyway I am a doula meaning we provide physical and emotional support for pregnant women and their partners. Anyway, I have ton's of info on pregnancy and childbirth if you are interested.

NOTE: Do not watch reality birth shows like bringing home baby or deliver me, etc they only place fear in mothers.

if you are interested in getting some free info on pregnancy and birth just drop me a line.
