here i sit
Well September has come and gone, hasn't it? There hasn't been much to report, and more than that I've been a little lazy. Kind of like right now at 10:44 sitting on the couch in pj's. Whoops.
Perris is hunting. Elk hunting, in fact. His very first time; they don't have elk in his Midwestern home. He is determined to bring back meat and spread it out to everyone. We shall see ;) He is with a friend, and because I seriously do not like sleeping alone at night I went and stayed the night with the wife of the friend P is with. They have a king size bed, sign me up for that goodness! So I walked home and here I sit.
This Monday-Wed I went to Goblin Valley with the place of employment and it was nice. It rained every few hours, and we only got caught in one enormous down pour on top of a bluff (which i thought we were in serious danger when I heard the thunder crack LOUDLY right above our heads! This is me, "Um...okay let's jog ladies!!") But I kept warm and mostly dry...we had a good time. I was happy to be home and see P for exactly 1 day before he left for 3 days on his excursion. This is not how it's supposed to happen, always being gone from each other.
Let me just say fall is filling the air here (finally) and i am loving it. My one christmas present this year is going to be really nice, warm boots. The only trouble will be waiting for them until December. Maybe I can convince the hubber otherwise...which, when it comes to gifts, is very easy.
(Example A: "Al, I got your birthday present today."
me "Oh, you did? That's nice."
short pause
P: "Want to know what it is?"
A: laugh "No, love"
P: "PLEASEEEEE!"
Thus you can see that he gets very excited about gifts and doesn't care about timing)
I have picture updates to come, but they are on Lynds' camera...I will do this soon. For now you can see my lovely camping face in the self-portraits from Goblin Valley. Ain't it perty?
my friend heather-check out the beautiful sky!
very muddy from rain
HAPPY FRIDAY! yeehaw!

Wowowow. I would totally have taken a jog too! Sounds so fun!
