minor mishap at the pool

My eyes are tearing as I begin this. I just can't stop giggling after seeing these photos again. Oh, what a great thing to laugh.

Saturday we went swimming. Towards the end of our lovely time there, Perris grabbed the life-preserver. First, he threw it in the pool and jumped on it, feet first, to try and stand. Attempt: unsuccessful.

Next he was going to dive through it. At this time I was distracted doing something by one of the little nieces accompanying us. When I turned back around, Perris was saying "uh oh."

He starts saying "it won't go over my hips!"
Now because I wasn't watching, I was imagining he jumped through it feet first. No no, our little man went head first and the life saver wouldn't go past his hips.

He was really in pain, but neither of us could stop laughing.

I even tried standing on it to make it go past his hips, but we finally got it over his head again, one shoulder at a time.
