good.

Have people ever asked you how "things" are with you and all you can say is "good"? That's how I have felt for the past little while. I have no news to report, we are in the monotony of life. School, work, and each other. Don't get me wrong we are a-okay with the monotomy, we find joy in it! We have really felt like we've grown closer together in the past while and that's been wonderful. I'm grateful to have that time of just A&P before the childrens arrive.

Have you ever got lost in a book? Of course you probably have. You know, felt like you know the characters and you love them and it's joyful and sad, and just lovely? I guess I haven't always felt all of that with every book, but definitely the one I'm reading does it all. "The Guernsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Pie Society"
Excellent, excellent, excellent. I still have about 25 pages left and it's my new favorite. It's about World War II and the island of Guernsey in the English channel being occupied by the Germans. Very clever, and funny, and endearing, and just lovely is the word that continues to pop into my mind.

Have you ever basked in a beautiful song that fills your soul and speaks to it at the same time? This song does that for me (2nd song from the bottom).

Today I went to the Family History class at church. Oh boy was I feeling the spirit of Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6), and in fact, I learned what that actually is. Elder Nelson said it is the spirit "bearing witness of the divine nature of the family." I came home and continued my reading of ancestor's stories that my Mom put together for her daughters for Christmas. I was loving it--I can't believe all my people went through. And because of it here I am! President Eyring talked about helping them find the restored gospel and it's blessings. He said one day we will meet them and we will see in their eyes either gratitude or deep disappointment. "Their hope is in your hands."
Yes, sir! Will do.

Our friend Josh got married yesterday to beautiful Regan. They will be our neighbors come fall. We had a great time at the temple and their reception. Afterward we joined his family at their home for some World Cup action. Perris was all over that, if you can imagine :)
