doing what i do

here am i:
i have a good job.

i can tribute my new found skill of cement mixing to my career
it's top on the list of things i have learned since becoming a recreation therapist
(as you can see, my skill is not yet perfected. every time i mix cement i find myself covered in it as well. i feel fine about it. i seem to be wearing the exact same jeans each time, too. it always washes out)

people often ask me about my job because it's not a well known thing
i like talking about it
they then say how lovely and fun it must be
and it is.

but i think it might be like being a parent:
lots of work
lots of planning
and lots of emotion

but it's those glimmering little moments when you see someone GET IT
that make it all worth it
and that's what makes me love it!

it's a wonderful experience to be working
(and guess what? i have even been a part of inspiration to a girl i work with; she's decided to go into rec. therapy because of what she has seen in the house i work in! rock on.)

  3. Cute pic Al! Love it. Seriously, if I went back to school I think I just might major in that. Another degree would be awesome right? :)
