Happy Happenings

As of forever, life is busy. Sometimes I wish it weren't so, but I guess that's part of the whole learning experience. How can we learn to prioritize if we don't have a million things to test our priority-making-abilities? Here is my picture/caption catch-up.
:)
Cousin Nathan got married. My sisters in attendance all accidentally color-coordinated their clothing. We admired the view outside and Addie jumped with bandaged knees off the bench...
and jumped again...
The 4th of July went to the festivities with these clowns:
The Harwards.

Made matching tie-dye tshirts and wore them on the 4th.
Watched the fireworks with this hermana and her date:
Joanna J.
.
The C.W.M came into town and we rode the moon-light lift ride. (the moon is behind our heads). Talked about how she met the Jonas Bros.
Snuggled close to this goon:
the flash was bright
Got flowers with a love confession and expression addressed to Mrs. Kusilek (that's me)
Attended a missionary get-together at the Cooks, freshly returned from La Patagonia!
introduced the hub

Went to the park on a sunday afternoon and napped. Found out my lips flatten when I smooch the P. See example below
(do not be disturbed by this image.)
.
Visited the maternal extended family in LOGAN.
Photographed the newspaper races down the gutter between K and P and smelled the nostalgia of it all
Katie gave hers an extra push
And a few got lost underneath the driveway bridge
Here's round #2 with leaf sails.
They sunk.
Sunday morning (the 19th) flew with the Colonel from Logan to Provo. Momma and K drove the automobile down for us
Watched the P husband be thrilled as the co-pilot
Perfect day for flying.

Col. giving instructions
my tired face in the back as a passenger
beautiful views all the 45 minute fly down
There he is... Maverick. I get to be Goose.

Okay. Generally growing up, we'd visit Utah every 2 years. As a beacon showing how close we were to Grandma's house, we'd look for the "golf balls" on top of the mountain. At Grandma's house, if you look straight up her street, those golf balls are perfectly above her house...thus, we'd always know how close we were just by searching for those. Never have I been closer to those balls than I was sunday.
Flying over Mt. Timpanogos Temple
Last night we went to the rodeo! I really love the rodeo. I was taking my girls from work and had P and Maddy come with. The best part was when girls would ask "how they get the horses to go crazy like that" A disgusted and somewhat regretful face always met the response. They're not from around here, ya know. This was a good learning experience...and they have to learn sometime, right? :)
Today was my first full Sunday back in the singles ward. I sat alone (well, i did arrive 4 minutes after it started)...but it was good. I'll be glad when I start teaching or something. Perris did his first conducting and it was a good Sabbath.
We applied to be the apartment managers of my old apartment complex. What a wonder that would be. SO helpful...it will work out for the best, whatever happens!
More to come!
love, mrs. k

  1. You know I think we Whicker girls are all cowgirls at heart. Seriously, bring on the plaid button up shirts, jeans and cowboy boots...BU then again, maybe that is just a subconscious dream of mine ever since Mom's Dude Ranch days :)
