Camille and Taralyn
Here is my eldest sister, Camille.
She came first. She is the ideal oldest sister. Wise, kind, loving, and sweet, she always has something to offer... A soft word of comfort, a long laugh with nostrils flaring, Cami has always been worried about others. Charity is a good word to describe her. Let's share an example, a humorous one.
When we were youngens, Cami and Tara were the permanent babysisters since they were "of age". While playing inside the house, Cami thought she heard ticking and not only normal ticking (whatever that is), but the ticking of a bomb. So although she was secretly about to have a heart attack, she calmly herded us outside to be away from the bomb. Maybe we watched Peter Pan a lot? She saved us, even though we never knew it! :)
Cam, I love you! Happy birthday!

This is Tara, the second born. Tara was the daring one. The one never afraid to share her opinion or feelings or try something new. Tara is always friendly and can go up to anyone, anywhere and start a conversation. She, too, like any of the sisters, can sit down and have a hearty, tears-rolling-out-the-eyes laugh. She once was distinguished from her twin by the scar on her nose from a light bulb accident.
There is this recurring image in my mind of Tara on the stage at church in Alabama, lipsyncing to Mariah Carey, Sweet Fantasy Baby song (whatever it's called). But not only singing...the part where Mariah goes really high and kind of screams/sings incredible notes...yeah that's the part stuck in my mind. There was no fear, Tara, no fear. :)
love you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my eldests.
