tender strings of my heart
While singing "Families Can be Together Forever" for the closing song of sacrament meeting, I was really touched by the Spirit. I think that song almost always gets me...but it took on a whole new meaning as I am to be wed in a mere 4 weeks. It brought sweet feelings and memories and gratitude towards my own immediate family; Mom and Dad, and my dear sisters... especially as we sang the words "I want to share my life with them for all eternity". Family truly is the greatest blessing. The next verse continued tugging at my heart and spirit as we sang, "While i am in my early years, I'll prepare most faithfully so I can marry in
God's temple for eternity...I always want to be with my own family and the Lord
has shown me how I can." My own family, that's what I'm about to begin. I can marry in God's temple so I can be with my very own family forever... do we realize what that means? It is an incredible blessing, and I am so full of gratitude for that opportunity. Ready, my dear Mr. Perris? See you all there ;)
