sunny splendor

we did it. disneyland was a success; a crazy, chaotic, tiring, non-stop, so much fun, goodness of a success. Here's a small view of what we experienced:

tower of terror. it's hard to see, but please look at Katie's face. that girl was scared. she did go a second time, however. what a trooper. Perris and I couldn't stop laughing either time because we kept looking at her as we dropped... thanks for letting us have fun with ya, Kate.
day one: mission completed. Above: 4 awake adults, two sleeping children. Below: 3 awake adults, 1 awake teenager, 3 sleeping children(you can't see Katie has one in her arms). This, we learned, was the usual each night as we made the trek back to the car---tired, aching arms from carrying heavy children in their sleepy dreams...

A hint for any Disneyland goers: If there is anyway you can get someone with a wheelchair to go with you, it's faster than getting fastpasses and it's pretty fun, too. Dad was glad to have his little "jazzy" wheelchair, although it did run out of battery from zooming around the park all day (as seen in this picture going into the Indiana Jones ride...we were there to push him when he lost the juice :) we're good pushers)

we are lovers. and this was a fun place. see the shorts? They were part of the sunny splendor experienced. So fun.
beautiful flower i had never seen before. My mother informed me they are all over hawaii. Never been there. My FH fiance informed me they are all over brazil. never been there. They are also all over disneyland. :)
this little guy was so fun. I think he's the cutest of all time...pretty much always happy and always commenting about something, he made the fireworks show so much better. He sat on his momma's knee, next to the belly where his future sister currently abides, and watched the fireworks in the sky saying things like "WOW" or "Look Mom! I LIKE IT!" "Look at the rockets!" "WOOWW" in the cutest voice. These comments were made every 15 seconds. So adorable, the little Cader-aider, as I affectionately call him.
Honey, I shrunk the kids. A little "hokey" as my dad said. A little "tolky" as I say. But still, it was fun and I love this picture FULL of personality. Haha it just makes me giggle looking at it. Lynds was kind enough to take the picture, sorry you missed being in it :)
California Screamin' round 4. Yes we did. With 13 people, and 11 tickets (2 babies were free) we were the fastpass runners in the park. But, my mother does not enjoy roller coasters, my sister is pregnant, the children aren't always tall enough...so what does that equal? A LOT OF EXTRA fastpasses. So when we had 11 for this roller coaster, Lynds, P and I went 4 times in a row. It was excellent, although by round four I had a head ache from being shaken, and P almost lost his lunch...I learned it really is true people can get sick from riding rides at the state fair so much! It was fun though. Each round we took a different picture, this one is my fav. The random man in the front even made a goofy face without instruction from us!
Overall it was a great trip. Very memorable. My oldest sisters periodically reminded P that this was his bootcamp into marriage, fatherhood, and the Whicker Family...especially since no other husband was present, just he, the Papa, and little Ty. He did good, by george, he done good.
