The Man's Ring Story

Alright, this is my very first blog writing ever. I really need to tell my version of the ring giving so all who read this blog thingy know what it's like from a man's perspective. If any dudes read this feel free to comment if you know what i'm talking about! Long before we had even looked at rings I had already been inspired with plan for proposal. As I was standing at a cash register reading Martha Stewart Living i saw some sweet ideas and decided i was going to have a cool scavenger hunt filled with homemade goodies. On Feb. 16 I was blessed to not have school or work, Al had to work all day, I used this time to my advantage. I prepared everything even all the written stuff so that when the day came i wouldn't have to waste any time. Ali already described all the stuff i made so no more details needed. Other than it took me forever to fold, glue, and decorate all the paper. It turned out pretty sweet. My roommate said, "Wow, you are going all out!" That's how sweet it was. Anyway, all the prepared stuff was burning a whole in my shelf so the next day i was going to do the deed. It turned out to be a cold and snowy day so, no. I didn't know how long my patience would last so Wednesday i went to get the ring. They hadn't even started sizing it or anything, so i said i need it tomorrow. They understand the linguo, promised to have it done thursday by four. Thursday was the day, sunny, nice. My sidekick, sister maddy, had already been debriefed and all was set in place for thursday at six. After school Maddy came and got me and we set everything up. Nothing works out the way you want it to so it wasn't a surprise when Ali didn't have a spare mail key for one of the clues, thanks to the sidekick she got her's back. I didn't dress for the weather because i didn't think i would be there past the sunset. However, i waited for an hour in the cold, dark night. I was freezing. As i was shivering in the dark under a large pine tree, thougts of what was about to happen entered my mind. My friends i'll admit i was scared. When she came she got lost, also not part of the plan. So i lead her to the ring, all the planning for months i had done and i hadn't once thought about what to do when she finally got there. All i knew was i was supposed to ask her to marry me, so that's all i did! Even though we had been talking about marriage for a while it was still scary and exciting, this is where other dudes might relate. In the end, It has been a great memory that we will both enjoy telling our children in the future. And now i am engaged to my sweetheart, the most beautiful and wonderful girl i have ever met.
